The Tudor is a classic home style that is enjoying a renaissance, so it’s only fitting that we worked with Renaissance Builders to bring this stunning new 4,000 sf., five-bedroom Hopkins residence to life. Located on Interlachen Rd., the structure was designed by architect Ben Nelson and Renaissance Builders, who wanted the home to fit seamlessly into this older, established neighborhood.
They chose Highmark to create the home’s richly detailed exterior, both for our expertise and the ease of using one contractor for both roofing and siding.
The home is sided in a combination of hand-split cedar shakes and LP SmartSide® ‘stucco’ panels, trim pieces and fascia. Highmark also created the architectural details including shutters, arches and brackets and installed a tongue-and-groove ceiling under the front porch.
“Our experience is a huge asset for builders, because we know how to accurately and competitively bid these projects,” explains Project Manager Caleb Hard.
Steve Jochim of Renaissance Builders concurs. “Highmark is used to working with builders, so that’s really helpful. We like the fact that they do both roofing and siding, too…it’s important that those two elements come together properly to ensure a water-tight home.”
Highmark installed all elements of this Tudor home’s exterior, including board-and-batten sections, hand-split cedar shakes and all timbers and brackets.
